What personal information we collect, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and the rights you have over it.
Artist Launcher (“the Platform”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is an independent music discovery ecosystem that provides tools and opportunities to help artists and music industry participants discover opportunities, promote creative work, build professional connections and participate in the independent music community. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal information when you use the Platform.
By accessing or using Artist Launcher, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, you must not use the Platform.
When you create an account, we may collect:
We may also assign internal account identifiers and system-generated information necessary to manage and secure your account.
Where participants apply for verification, we may collect documentation reasonably necessary to verify identity, ownership or organisational legitimacy — including government-issued identification where required, business registration documents, proof of authority, website ownership, social media verification and other supporting documentation. Verification information is used solely for verification purposes.
When participants create Track Pages or submit content, we may collect track metadata, album artwork, lyrics, MP3 and WAV files, video uploads, media kits, descriptions, genres, moods, similar artists, AI disclosures, explicit content declarations, PRO information, neighbouring rights information, publisher information, ISRC, UPC, licensing contact information, submission history, and reviews and feedback.
When you create a public Page, we may collect and display the information you choose to publish, including organisation or artist name, biography or description, logos and images, contact information, website and social media links, services offered, events, merchandise, promotional content, public release information, opportunities and announcements, and verification status where applicable.
Information you choose to publish on a public Page may be visible to other Artist Launcher users and to visitors to the Platform.
Payment processing is handled by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number, debit card number or bank account details on our servers. We may receive and store transaction history and amounts, billing address, the last four digits of your payment method, and payment status and confirmation details. Stripe’s collection and use of your payment data is governed by Stripe’s own privacy policy.
When you connect your Spotify account we access and store your email address (for account identification and communication), display name (to personalise your profile), playlists (to enable curation and submission features), track metadata including track names, artist names and album art (to display playlist content), and audio features such as tempo, energy and danceability (to power playlist curation tools).
If you connect your Discord account or interact with Artist Launcher through Discord, we may collect your Discord user ID and display name, server membership information, and messages and interactions within Artist Launcher Discord channels.
We automatically collect certain information when you use the Platform, including IP address, browser type and version, device type and operating system, pages visited and features used, date and time of access, and referring URLs.
Where users choose to disclose AI usage relating to a Track Page or other content, we store that information as part of the Track Page and submission record.

AI is used to assist Platform functionality and does not replace independent human review where such review is required. Participants remain responsible for ensuring the accuracy of information they provide.
