Love as a Shady Place

How are you going to grow if you're only living for yourself? Maybe you could grow wider that way, but not deeper.

I wanted to write a love song a la Chris Isaac. Wicked Game is so good. Didn't get close to that, but ended up with this instead.

Our love Our love is a shady place It is the kind of love that is steady Even if you and I might go up and down Not our love Our love Our love is not our own It is the kind of love that is true And I’m glad to share it with you Mm In song I open up my heart and sing for you An open heart an open voice a love that’s true Ooo Ooo
