Bosque de voces

"Bosque de voces" is a rhythmically driving and deeply atmospheric track from Sonophagen’s sophomore album, Crónicas de una existencia en vilo. Blending organic folk rhythms with rich, immersive soundscapes, it creates an evocative auditory forest filled with hypnotic layers and haunting beauty. Perfect for world folk, atmospheric alternative, and cinematic instrumental playlists.

The track is inspired by the poignant tragedy of the Kauai ʻōʻō bird, which went extinct several decades ago. It captures the haunting reality of the last surviving male calling out into an empty forest for a mate—incorporating actual field recordings of the bird's real mating calls—transforming this final, desperate song into a rhythmically charged, heartbreaking final dance against extinction.
