Run an email campaign to a list

Pitch everyone on a list with one personalised email each. ArtistLauncher checks every contact's rules first, sends at a safe pace, and shows who opened your Track Page and clicked to listen.

  7. Questions

1. Start a campaign

  1. Click New campaign and choose From one of your lists or From the screener

Or click Start a campaign on a list or a screener selection.

  2. A draft opens with one contact per listing

Duplicate addresses are removed and a fitting template is pre-picked. Up to 2,500 listings per campaign.

2. Release & message

  1. Choose the Track you're pitching

It must be public, because every email links to its Track Page.

  2. Write the Subject and Message, or pick a Template

Use Insert … to add merge fields like {{contact_first_name}}, {{resource_name}} and {{track_link}}.

  3. Add fallbacks so no email goes out with a blank

{{contact_first_name|there}} becomes "there" when there's no name. {{personal_note|}} disappears when you haven't written a note.

  4. Leave Let ArtistLauncher send them for you on

Or turn it off to send every email from your own account.

3. Check the recipients

ArtistLauncher checks every contact against their own rules before anything goes, and explains each decision under Why?.

  • Always left out: anyone who unsubscribed, asked not to be contacted, bounced, reported spam or isn't taking submissions, plus anyone pitched in the last 7 days or already pitched this release.
  • Left out unless you include them: their rules ask for another route, they don't take AI-generated or unreleased music, the genre doesn't match, the contact is flagged, or they're in Germany or Austria.
  • Use Preview to see each finished email, and Edit this email to change it for one person.

4. Review & launch

  1. Check What it uses

Each pitch uses one email: your free ones first, then credits. If you're short, buy packs right there.

  2. Send a test to yourself

It opens in your own mail app, free, and nothing goes to contacts.

  3. Clear everything under Before you launch:

  4. Click Launch campaign, then Launch

How sending works

  • Sent by ArtistLauncher: a test batch of 10 goes first. After about 15 minutes of delivery results, the rest go at a steady pace, up to 1,000 a day.
  • Built-in protection: two bounced addresses pause the campaign, and a spam report holds automatic sending for review. You're told why and can resume.
  • Out of emails? Sending pauses and carries on where it stopped once you top up.
  • Send from your email: each finished email opens in Gmail, Outlook or your Mail app with one click (G, O or M on your keyboard). Press send, then Next. Opened one you didn't send? Click I didn't send it within 24 hours to get the email back.
  • Web forms: listings that only take a form become a checklist. Open their form, submit, and tick it off.
  • Use Pause, Resume or Finish any time.

Results and follow-ups

  • See Sent, Delivered, Opened your Track Page and Clicked to listen for every contact.
  • Listen tracking works for contacts in Canada and the US. The Track Page tells them, and offers Don't share my visit.
  • Replies arrive in your own inbox. Log them with Mark as: (Replied, Accepted / added, Declined, No reply), one by one or in bulk.
  • Seven days after launch, Follow up with the N drafts one polite follow-up to everyone who hasn't replied.
  • Save as a list keeps the campaign's contacts for next time.
