Read a listing before you pitch

Every listing tells you how to get in:

  • How they want to be pitched: their own submission notes, word for word. Follow them.
  • Contacts: each address, where it came from, and when it was captured. The latest email outcome shows underneath, e.g. "Delivered on Oct 3".
  • Freshness: "Checked N days ago" means members confirmed it recently. "Address may be out of date" means someone reported a problem.
  • Reply rate: once enough members have logged results, you'll see how often people heard back and how quickly.
  • Worth reaching out?: members vote Worth it or Not worth it.

Write a one-off pitch

  1. Click Write on a card, or Write to them on a listing

  2. Choose a Template and your Track

You need at least one public Track Page.

  3. Check the Subject and Message

Merge fields like {{contact_first_name}} and {{track_link}} fill in automatically. Anything listed under "Still to fill in" needs your attention.

  4. Choose how it goes

Send from ArtistLauncher, or open it in Gmail, Outlook or your Mail app and send it yourself.

  • Replies always come to your own email address.
  • Every pitch includes your name, a postal address and an unsubscribe link, as anti-spam law requires. Click see what's added to view it.
  • You can pitch the same address once every 7 days.
  • Each pitch uses one email from your allowance: 10 free a month, then 1 credit for 100 more.

Keep track of your outreach

  • On any listing, set Your outreach to Contacted, They replied, Accepted, Declined or No reply, and keep private notes.
  • My outreach lists every pitch you've sent, with delivery status (Sent, Delivered, Bounced…), grouped by outcome.
  • Fourteen days after you contact someone, you'll get a gentle "Did they reply?" reminder.
  • Your outcomes help everyone: they build the reply rate other artists see.

Help keep it accurate

The Rolodex is built and checked by its members.

  • Check five listings: answer quick yes/no questions ("Is this still the right address?"). When members agree, the listing updates for everyone.
  • Know something about this listing?: share a tip or a change. It's published with your name once the team has read it.
  • Something wrong with this listing?: report outdated details or a bounced email.
  • Contributions earn levels (Scout, Verifier, Steward) and badges such as Crate Digger and Liner Notes, shown on your profile.

Run a station, show, playlist or blog?

  • Get listed: anyone can suggest an outlet at artistlauncher.com/get-listed, no account needed. A person reviews every listing before it goes live.
  • Claim it: if your outlet is already listed, open it and use This is your station, playlist or blog? Claim it., then connect it to your Page. Claimed listings show Confirmed by owner, and artists can submit straight to your Page.
