Add a track and get its Track Page
Every track gets one shareable page with your artwork, a player, links to every streaming service and pre-saves. Here's how to create one and make it great.
Two ways to add a track
Go to My Tracks and click to add a new one. You can either:
- Add from Spotify: paste the track's Spotify link and click Find track. The title and artwork come straight from Spotify. Pick a genre, mood and occasion, then Add track.
- Create a track page: fill in everything yourself. Use this for unreleased music or music that isn't on Spotify yet.
Build your Track Page
Basics: the title and the page address
The address is lowercase letters, numbers and dashes, e.g. midnight-drive. The form tells you if it's taken.
Artwork & banner: a square cover and a wide social banner
JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF, up to 5 MB each. The banner runs across the top of the page (3:1, 1500×500 is ideal) with nothing over it.
Colours & page style: match your artist profile or give the track its own
Leave Match my artist profile on to use your profile's colour and page style, or turn it off to pick a colour, title style and page style for this track.
AI & authorship: say whether generative AI was used
This is required. If AI was involved, say how much and which parts. Pages show it as "AI-assisted" or "AI-generated".
Player & listen links: a featured player and every place to listen
Paste a Spotify, YouTube or SoundCloud link for the player. Then Add link for Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Tidal, Deezer, Bandcamp, a pre-save link and more.
Story & lyrics: tell people what it's about
About the track, what inspired it, lyrics and credits all show on the page.
Genre, mood & instruments, Canadian content (MAPL) and Release info
These help curators and stations find the right fit. Add the release date and ISRC if you have them.
Set it to Public and click Create track page (or Save changes)
Add your audio
Once the page exists, upload the audio file so curators and stations can listen to the real thing.
Open the track's editor and click Upload an audio file
Check the tags (title, artist, album, year, genre, BPM, ISRC)
Click Process & upload
- MP3, M4A, OGG and Opus files are stored as they are. WAV, AIFF and ALAC are converted to lossless FLAC.
- Files can be up to 400 MB.
- Your audio is private. Only you and the curators or stations you submit to can play it.
- Once it's uploaded, the page shows tempo, key, loudness and danceability measured from the file.
